Shake, Rattle, Roll, Hop Sponsor Spotlight: Precious Bottoms
As many of you know I cloth diaper. I love working with Precious Bottoms Diaper Service. The customer service has been great. I love that they care about their customers. They will answer any questions you might have about cloth diapering and they work quickly to resolve any issues you may have.
I was sent 2 prefold diapers, a snappi fastener, and a pink thirsties duo wrap cover. Yes my son wore a pink diaper cover. I don't mind, and Rachelle informed me about the color before I received it.

What I love:
Cost- Prefolds are one of the most cost effective ways to cloth diaper.
Absorbent- Prefolds tend to absorb well. This makes them great option for when they will be on your child a long time.
Adjustment- with a Prefold you can adjust the way you fold it to meet the different needs and body types you may have- chunky legs, skinny, etc.
The snappi fastener that I was sent allows you to put diaper on your child without having to use diaper pins. This saves you from accidentally pinning you or the baby with the diaper pin. These just hook on to the diaper. First one side, then the other, and then the bottom. I like that I don't have to worry about getting poked with a diaper pin.
The Thirsties Duo Wrap Cover comes in 2 sizes. Size 1 fits 6-18 lbs and Size 2 fits 18-40 lbs. It has dual gussets around the legs and an aplix closure. I love the leg gussets. My son was sick a few weeks ago and this came in handy for containing his messes. It worked great. I haven't had any leaks with this cover. The aplix closure makes it easy to get a good fit, however I still prefer snaps closure. Thirsties is now offering covers with snap closures too. Now you can pick which closure you'd like based on your preference. I also like that the cover is trim fitting. While I haven't quite gotten the hang of folding a prefold, I don't have to worry when using this cover.
Cover features I love:
Dual leg gussets- contains messes nicely
trim fit
adjustable rise- to get a perfect fit.
versatility- can use over a prefold, or place an insert inside or even just fold the prefold and lay inside without using a fastener.

Dislikes:
I'm not a fan of aplix closure for 2 reasons. The first being that my son can undo the aplix closure, so if I put him in this, I have to put other clothes on over it or he won't stay in it. The second reason I dislike this type of closure is that have the time I forget to stick the velcro to the laundry tabs. I'm also not a fan of having to use a separate cover as I have a squirmy toddler. These are really just personal preferences though, and others might not mind these things.
Overall the prefold works great once you get the hang of it. The cover is amazing and can be used with your prefold or with other diaper inserts you have. It contains messes and is trim fitting. I like how the snappi makes securing the prefold easier.
