Summer Cloth Sponsor Spotlight: The green nursery

It is summer here in AZ. Which means the weather is HOT! To beat the heat my kids are taking swimming lessons at the local pool. As a cloth diapering mom, I can't imagine buying disposable swim diapers. Especially since I'd be using them on a daily basis. I can't afford that, and I also don't want to create all that waste. Thankfully there are cloth swim diapers out there.
I was sent a Bummis Swimmi from The Green Nurseryto review.

Rock N Learn States and Capitals Giveaway

I've worked with RockNLearn two times over the past several months and I love them.  My daughter has several of the DVDs including Colors, Shapes, and Counting and Letter Sounds. The company has excellent customer service and a variety of educational products to choose from. My daughter loves to watch the DVDs and is excited when a new one comes in the mail.

So I was thrilled when I heard that they have now come out with ibooks for the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. My daughter has basically decided that my iPad is hers. So I like to load it with educational games and books for her to use.

She was able to review the States & Capitals ibook. My daughter is just starting Kindergarten in the Fall and the book is designed for students in grades 4-12. So needless to say it is above my daughters level. However that didn't stop her from enjoying the book.

All Terrain Sunscreen Giveaway

It's summer time here in AZ! Needless to say the weather is HOT! As a parent, it is important that I teach my kids to use sunscreen to protect their skin. There are many sunscreens out there? How do you choose which one to use to protect you and your family?

Summer Cloth Sponsor Spotlight: Precious Bottoms

Precious Bottoms cloth diaper service has provided me with many review opportunities over the past several months. Last up is a Medium Planetwise wet bag. I received the organic leaf, but there are a variety of prints available.

Summer Cloth Sponsor Spotlight: Willow Store

I've been cloth diapering for awhile now. So of course I know that you can't use dryer sheets with cloth diapers. I've also come to wonder how effective dryer sheets. Are they worth the money? or the chemicals?
I found a safe alternative at the Willow Store.
I received a set of 3 assorted colors Wool Dryer Balls valued at  $19.95

Summer Cloth Sponsor Spotlight: Cheeky Cloth

My son is just starting the potty training process. So that means time to ditch the diaper and find a training pant for him to use. I found Cheeky Cloth on Etsy.

I was fortunate to be able to try the Joe print pair.

Maternity Monday week 14 - Baby Smiles review

See the bigger picture. How your baby's growing:This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb. In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all…

Fluffy Butts Sponsor Spotlight: Go Go Naturals DinkleDooz diaper

I've found an awesome cloth diaper shop that is local to where I live in AZ. They are local but still quite a drive away so I haven't been into the actual store. The store is Go Go Natural which is in Chandler AZ I'm in the Phoenix area, so maybe 30 min- hour drive away. While I haven't been into the store, I have met the shop owner Meredith a couple times at the Great Cloth Diaper Change event. In fact, last year I won a DinkleDooz diaper at the event. So now I have 2 DinkleDooz diapers.  The red one I received over a year ago at the Great Cloth Diaper Change in 2011. The orange one is the one I received for the review.  You can read all about DinkleDooz on their website.

Annmarie Gianni Skin Care review

Its always nice to find products that are organic, and even more so when it comes to skin care. I can't tell you how many face washes I have had problems with because they have so much chemicals in them. All it does is make my face burn and break out more! Lets face it with this pregnancy, I look like I am back in high school. My face has broken out all over the place. But it is getting better after about a week of using Annmarie Gianni Skin Care. I got a ton of little samples from them so I split them with April so she will be doing a review for you on the stuff she took home. I am going to be talking more about the Coconut Honey Mask, Coconut Body Oil,  Dead Sea Facial Scrub and  Herbal Facial Oil.

Prenatal yoga DVD review

Man do I feel tired. I have not really done any type of workout in weeks. As some of you might remember I had, well still am kinda having bad morning sickness. So when you feel nasty you don't really feel like working out. The last few weeks I have been trying to at least get out and walk but today I really felt like doing some yoga. Awhile back I got this great Prenatal Vinyasa yoga and short forms DVD, but again with me being sick there was no way I wanted to try it out yet. So today I'm feeling much better and decided to try it out. First thing I saw that I loved about this DVD is that they have short 15, 30, 45 and 75 minute lessons. Great way to help you slowly get back into shape. You should never just pick up a yoga DVD and try to push yourself to finish the whole thing your fist time. So this DVD is great for people who are new, or what not worked out in awhile.

Fluffy Butts Sponsor Spotlight: Baby Babu

Back in May I reviewed an up and coming company called Baby Babu. I'm pleased to be working with them again as part of the Fluffy Butts Hop.

I love breakfast. It doesn't matter what time of day it is. Some of my favorite things to have for dinner includes: Pancakes and eggs or a breakfast burrito. My family also enjoys breakfast.
On Memorial Day weekend the family (Husband, 2 kids and I) went into Coco's Bakery for a nice breakfast.

Shake, Rattle, Roll Sponsor Spotlight: Cuddletunes

Do your kids love stuffed animals, and dolls? If they are anything like mine then they have tons of them. They may even have a favorite that they like to sleep with. Your kids will love a Cuddletunes bear.

Maternity Monday

See the bigger picture. How your baby's growing: The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder. Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce. By the way I get my info from So …

Summer Learning

Now is the time of year when school let's out for the Summer. Time for swimming, movies, camping, sleepovers, and playing with friends. However, this is also a time of year when student's lose skills they have already learned. As a former teacher, I know that the first several weeks of the school year involve reteaching information that should have been learned the previous school year.

Fluffy Butts Sponsor Spotlight: generationMe

As a cloth diapering mom, I'm always on the look out for items that will help with diaper changes. I found a cute etsy shop called generationMe. I've heard many wonderful things about this shop, and was pleased when I had an opportunity to try them out. The shop sells many items including cloth wipes, doublers, wet bags, and laundry detergent. Also offered are reusable napkins, resusable paper towels, mop and sweeper reusable pads, produce bags, snack and sandwich bags and dishwasher detergent.  I love the variety of items being sold. Meg says Simple Concept. Sweet Design. Concept is to use products that have less waste and promote healthier living. The designs are based on function, practicality, ease of use, and a sweet design.
For this event, I was sent a set of 8 wipes in a robot print to review.
