Thanks Mama Giveaway ends 8-23

My son started Potty Training a few months ago. As a cloth diapering parent, I couldn't imagine buying disposable training pants. My mom bought my son some underwear but he was too small for them and they didn't contain any accidents. So off I searched for some cloth training pants. I found Thanks Mama.

I was sent the Grovia My Choice trainer in Vanilla to test out on my son.

Like diapers the trainer needs to be prepped before it is ready to use. Just wash and dry 2-3 times and your all set. Then after use you just shake off any soiled matter and place in a diaper pail. Wash every 2 days with cloth diaper safe detergent and tumble dry on low.  As with other cloth you don't want to use fabric softners on this trainer.

This trainer is made to fit from 1t-3t. However if you have a bigger trainer you can also purchase extra large side-flex panels to increase the size to up to 5t. When this trainer arrived in the mail both me and my husband thought it looked huge. We were afraid that it wouldn't fit on our petite son.

Our son has a skinny waist and is only about 23 lbs so he often has problems with things not fitting at his waist. However this trainer fits him nicely. It isn't too loose. Somehow the side-flex panels make the fit excellent. I know that this trainer will fit him for a long time still.

I love that this trainer is easy to pull up and down. My son has no problems putting it on or taking it off. The trainer is made with a waterproof outer and a hemp/cotton inner with a pocket. It also has a GroCool lining. The lining is made from polyester and helps your child feel wetness. When potty training you want your child to feel the wetness so they want to go in the potty. This is perfect for that. I like that I don't have to stuff it with anything and it can still handle a small accident. For longer times such as naps and overnight you could add a booster or cloth diaper doubler to the pocket to increase absorbancy. My son is just starting to potty train, so we haven't tried naps or overnights yet. However, I love this option and I'm sure I'll use it in the future.

Another thing that I like about this trainer is that you can change the look up buy using different colored side flex panels. I think this is a nice option for times when you want a little bit more color to the trainer.

Finally the snaps on this trainer come in handy. If your child has a messy accident you can unsnap it for easier cleanup. I've seen some trainers with snaps that look more like a diaper or sit weird at the snaps. The Grovia trainer looks like underwear which is a plus for getting your kids to go potty. Plus the snaps lay nice and flat.  This is a great training pant.
