NUK Freshfoods Cook-n-Blend Baby Good Maker review

Most people believe that you need to start your kids off on white rice. But did you know that for the most part it is great better if you start your kids on the veggies and fruits. You can learn about the "White Out" campaign by clicking the link. We also want to make sure we don't give them processed food, give them the good real stuff. And what better way to do that then to make their own food from the start. The NUK Freshfoods Cook-n-Blend Baby Good Maker cooks, steams, purees and thaws baby food.
Here are a few good fun facts about it before I show you what I made with it. It makes up for a 32 oz of food, it has a double steamer basket, two texture options (smooth or chunky), dishwasher safe, and includes a free recipe book. The NUK freshfoods cook-n-blend retails for $99.99 but click on this link and you can get $20 off coupon!

We started by making Logan a banana and blue berry purees. It was so easy I even let Aiden help out. Just get one banana and 1/3 cup of blue berries. Cut up the banana and put in half of the steam tray and then put the blue berries in the other. Fill the water level up to a 2, then push the green button. That will then steam/cook for about 14 minutes. So far so good right? Think you can do it?

Once the machine beeps, very carefully remove the lid and use the spatula to take the basket out. The dump the bananas and blue berries into the cooking bowl. From there you can mix it any way you want. Because Logan is just starting on foods I wanted to blend it up really well, if you have an older baby they might like it a little more chunky.

Out of one banana and 1/3 cup blue berries I was able to make two 4oz jars of baby food. What a killer deal, think about it bananas are what $0.59 a pound and you can get the blue berries on sale. I get them at sprouts when they are 2 for $4!

They say this is one serving up like I said Logan is still young so we use a 4 oz jar in a day or two. It was also a big hit with Logan he loved it so much! I can't wait to try more things with him. So if you want to make baby food you really should look into getting NUK Freshfoods Cook-n-Blend Baby Good Maker.
