Jake and the Neverland Pirate Birthday Party Theme

A few weeks ago my son turned 3. He wanted a Jake and the Never Land Pirates themed birthday party.

Birthday in a Box has a variety of party themes available. In addition to the Jake and the Never Land Pirates theme they also have Hello Kitty, Dora, Doc McStuffins, Elmo, Princess, Thomas the Train, Monsters Inc, Sofia the 1st, etc. More than likely they will have what you need to suit your party's theme.

If you have yet to pick a theme you can easily browse by type of party- boy, girl, Halloween, 1st birthday, graduation, baby shower, etc.

I contacted Birthday in a Box just 9 days before his party. I was worried about whether or not my kit would arrive in time. Thankfully it arrived 1 day before his party.

I choose the Jake and the Never land Pirates Deluxe kit that serves 8. The kit included the following items:
  •  1 box of birthday candles
  • 8 blue spoons, 8 blue forks, 8 blue knives
  • 1 blue streamer
  • 8 Jake and the Never Land Pirates Cake plates
  • 8 Jake and the Never Land Pirate Cups
  • 16 Jake and the Never Land Pirates Napkins
  • 1 Jake and the Never Land Pirates Tablecover
  • 1 red streamer
Some other items that I wish the kit would have included are:
  • Jake and the Never Land Pirates balloons
  • Jake and the Never Land Pirates party blowers
  • Jake and the Never Land Pirates dinner plates
While those items weren't included in the kit I could purchase them separately at a decent cost. I also would have liked a 16 person kit instead of 8 person as this party had many adult guests too. Instead of buying the additional items, I choose to use solid blue colors for adult guests. That worked out well.

I liked that the kit did include birthday candles. Many times in the rush to plan a party we end up forgetting to get candles. This time I didn't have to worry.

Jerom loved the Jake items and couldn't have been happier. He kept saying "My Jake" when he saw the cups, napkins, plates, and tablecloth.  The price for the kit is $18.99 and is affordable. The cups were sturdy and a decent size. The kids could easily handle them and yet not have to constantly refill their cups. The napkins were strong and able to withstand a decent mess. The tablecover was perfect for creating a Pirate theme at the table.

The kids enjoyed playing with hooks, breaking a treasure box pinata, and eating the pirate ship birthday cake. Overall it was a fun birthday and my 3 year old was pleased.
