Rockin' Green Dish Soap

As many of you may know, Rockin' Green is a  company that sells Cloth Diaper safe detergent. They have also come out with a dishwasher detergent.

When I found out that they had a detergent for dishes, I wanted to try it. Lately we have had problems with our dishwasher not getting the dishes clean. It doesn't seem to matter which detergent we use, there is always spots, film, or even food left on the dishes. I couldn't wait to see if Rockin' Green could help my dishes come out clean and sparkly.

Some of the features of this dishwasher detergent includes:
  • Dye free
  • No Fillers
  • Cleans and protects
  • Eliminates unsightly water spots
  • No need to pre-rinse
  • Natural scrubbing agents
  • Non Toxic
  • Tackles burnt on food
  • Phosphate free
  • Easy rinsing formula
  • Recyclable packaging
  • Prevents mineral buildup
  • No cloudy film
  • Etch protection
  • Vegan & Gluten Free
  • Biodegradable
  • Naturally scented
  • Excellent in hard water - no need for boosters or rinse aids!
I live in an area with hard water and have been having horrible luck with other detergents.

You use 1- 2 tablespoons of detergent per load. Since I have hard water and struggle to get dishes clean I have used about 2 per load.

I have tested this out on several loads of dishes. I even put in some dishes without pre rinsing them.
Did it work? For the most part yes. My glasses and other glass dishes were cleaner than before. They seemed to sparkle and shine and there was no film or white spots on them.

The only dishes that still looked a little spotty were my plastic Tupperwares. I think the Tupperware dishes still looked that way because they have been microwaved and just are really well used. Even after I handwash those dishes they still have spots that don't look pretty. The dishes are just worn and nothing can help that.

Note no food on Green Cutter and much less on cookie sheet
Did it take off the food on dishes I didn't rinse? Yes,  if I washed them soon after using them. If the dishes had been sitting dirty for days however it will not get them completely clean. The cookie sheet that had been sitting for a week or more after baking rolls was still dirty when it came out. However it was only slightly dirty and mostly clean. The part that was left on it, came off easily.

Ideally you should wash your dishes right away and you won't have to worry about Pre rinsing your dishes. If you do end up letting your dishes sit for days or weeks at a time, you will need to pre rinse it.

Overall this detergent has worked better in our dishwasher than any of the other detergents we have tried.  Try it yourself and see if you like how it cleans.

I have super hard water and I love that the dish detergent from Rockin' Green gets all the spots and film that other soaps have left behind! Perfect clean sparkling dishes, that's the way I like it!
