Simple Yet Practical Ways To Avoid Getting Kidney Related Issues

If you care about your health, then you probably want to take active steps towards getting into the best health of your life. Most people want to ensure that they avoid getting a disease such as diabetes or alzheimer’s while at the same time promoting great heart health. However I want to ask you, when was the last time you actually thought about the condition of your kidneys? Well, if you can’t seem to answer this question then perhaps it’s time that you start paying them more attention. Your kidneys are quite literally one of the most important organs in your body, and one of the reasons is that they are responsible for filtering out about 200 quarts of blood each and every day. On top of this they are also responsible for ensuring that about 2 quarts of excess water and waste products are filtered, and the remaining waste goes onto actually become urine. Another important job that your kidneys have is to produce some hormones which actually regulate all the chemicals that are in your blood at this moment in time. Therefore I hope you can really appreciate just how important it is to make sure that your kidneys remain as healthy as possible for as long as possible. Here are some very simple yet practical tips that you can implement to keep your kidneys as healthy as possible…

 1. Start Drinking Plenty of Filtered Water Every Day One of the most important things that you’re ever going to do for your kidneys is make sure that you are hydrated at all times. This will ensure that the volume and concentration of your blood will remain stable and consistent. Staying properly hydrated will also ensure that your digestive system is running as smooth as possible, and on top of that it also ensure that your body’s temperature remains stable…. and how can we forget the fact that by drinking plenty of water throughout the day you will ensure that the toxins in your body will be flushed out as fast as possible. For the average person you need to drink about 64 ounces of water every single day. However if you already happen to be suffering from kidney issues or you’re just a really active person that happens to sweat a lot then you’re going to want to put in the effort to drink at least half your bodyweight in ounces. So, say you weighed 160 pounds then I’d recommend that you drink at least 80 ounces of water every single day. This of course should be pure, filtered water where possible.

 2. Please Avoid Holding it in! As mentioned above, one of the most important roles that your kidneys have is to make sure that the blood in your body is filtered. And when it’s done filtering through all that blood, the excess water and waste that remains is stored up in the bladder… waiting to be flushed out. But you need to appreciate that your bladder can’t really hold any more than about 14 ounces of water at a time… which isn’t much at all. If you avoid going to the bathroom when you need to go then it’s going to result in your bladder stretching out way more than it should stretch out. So when you do eventually get around to urinating your bladder won’t actually completely empty out… this over the long term can result in you getting urinary tract infection, which isn’t pleasant at all.

 3. Make Sure You Drink Up Plenty of Fresh Juice! Now I’m not saying that drinking juice alone is going to result in you becoming the healthiest person alive, but you can be sure that by drinking fresh vegetable and fruit juice on a regular basis that your kidneys will be a lot healthier than normal! Another benefit of drinking fresh juice on a regular basis is the fact that it will result in your digestive system being able to absorb all the additional water that’s in your system…. and it also helps to get rid of all the toxins that are inside of you. However please keep in mind that if you suffer from kidney stones then I’d highly recommend that you avoid making juice that contains the ingredients, beets, spinach and collard greens. The reason I say this is that these vegetables contain a higher concentration of oxalic acid which actually results in more kidney stones being formed.

 4. Ensure You Eat Right All The Time You seriously need to make sure that you are consuming all the right foods, because your kidneys health and overall health will largely depend on the food that you are putting in your body. If all you’re doing is eating foods that are toxic and unhealthy then it will ultimately result in your bodily organs deteriorating. This is why I encourage anyone who’s serious about keeping their kidneys in good condition to avoid eating processed junk foods. So what on earth should you be eating? Well, I’d highly recommend that you consume foods that are beneficial to your kidneys. So this means eating things like green tea, asparagus, garlic, green tea, celery and parsley.

 5. Do Whatever You Can To Take The Right Supplements The most important supplement you can take to keep your kidneys in pristine condition is cranberry extract. This will ensure that you bladder stays in good condition and it will ensure that your kidneys also stay as healthy as possible. The reason why this small red berry is so beneficial to your kidneys is that it actually prevents bacteria from sticking to the outer lining of your kidneys. The other great thing about cranberries is the fact that they radically reduce inflammation and on top of that they also contain a hell of a lot of beneficial antioxidants.

So in order to keep your kidneys working perfectly, it is recommend that you take about 400 mg of cranberry extract a day. But if you happen to be suffering from urinary tract infection then I’d highly recommend that you double the dose. It will also be in your interest to make sure that you take a good amount of vitamin D supplements. There is research out there that shows that there is a big connection between people who are deficient in vitamin D and those that suffer from kidney related issues. So I’d highly recommend that you take about 2000 IU of vitamin D a day.

You have to appreciate that your kidneys were in fact designed to last for your whole entire life. Ensuring that you take care of them properly by implementing the tips that I shared in this article will mean that you’ll enjoy great health for as long as you live.
