I never knew about swaddling a baby or even what that was until my second son was born. Yes they did swaddle him in the hospital but I did not know what that was or how to do it, or even that it helps baby sleep. Now it seams like there are a ton of different types of swaddling wraps out there. Noah is going to be 6 months on Sunday and he has not like to be swaddles in a long time. Don't get me wrong he loves to feel tight, but hates that he can't move this arms. Zipadee-Zip is a great mix for me. They give Noah the feel of being swaddled while still being able to move this arms. One random thing that I have found I love about this is that he can't scratch me. Here is a little info about Noah, he loves to hold your hand while he is feeding and sometime when he is trying to fall asleep he can scratch... if I have not clipped his nails.
I had a really fussy baby the other night and I grabbed my Good night moon Zipadee and tried to put him down again. Within minutes he was out! It has become my favorite swaddling thing. Best thing is, it is so easy to put on. I just unzip it, lay it on the bed and then zip him up in it. He can still move around if he needs too. I even saw a little girl walking with hers on.
If you have a baby who loves to be swaddled but is getting older this might be something you want to look into. But it also looks good for younger kids too. How would you like to try and get one to win. That way you can love them as much as I do?
